HIMSS18 Attendees Experienced Direct Connectivity With Audéo B-Direct

What happens in Vegas doesn’t always need to stay in Vegas … especially for conference attendees at HIMSS18, March 5-9. They experienced a hands-on demonstration of Audéo™ B-Direct, the first hearing aid that directly connects to any Bluetooth-enabled cell phone, at the Samsung Healthcare Lounge.

And from their reactions, they’re ready to share the word on #MadeForAll. “The attendees are all involved in technology and healthcare, and they were amazed at what Audéo B-Direct can do,” said Shawn Harrison, Phonak Director of Marketing, Strategic Accounts.

HIMSS18 attendees experienced first-hand how Phonak innovations work with Samsung Galaxy smartphones to enable truly hands-free voice calling, in-stereo media streaming and the latest in hearing aid artificial intelligence. With Audéo B-Direct, hearing aid wearers can answer or reject a phone call by simply pressing a button on their hearing aid.

“When we demonstrated taking a cell phone call with the Audéo B-Direct as well as the TV Connector experience, eyes lit up, and there were smiles on their faces,” said Harrison. “We heard things like: ‘My mom/dad needs these’ or ‘My husband has hearing aids that connect to his cell phone, but he can’t talk on the phone like this.’”
